As the Senior Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in creating value by managing accounting processes, consolidating financial statements, analyzing business performance, helping steer investment decisions, and minimizing compliance risks. Key Responsibilities
Accounting:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations in coordination with ancillary backoffice teams to maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP (or IFRS) standards

Supervise processes for recording financial transactions, journal entries, reconciliations, adjustments, and other critical accounting items

Manage the Company’s capital expenditure, fixed asset, and capitalization policies, including tracking existing fixed assets and capital projects, recording amortization and depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of assets

Lead accounting processes around acquisitions, such as purchase price allocations, opening balance sheet preparation, lease recording, and coordination of new bookkeeping efforts

Complete month-end closing processes in a timely manner
Internal Controls:

Establish, document, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with financial regulations

Regularly review and update financial policies and procedures to reflect best practices
Audit Coordination:

Prepare schedules and regularly respond to auditor information requests and inquiries

Provide necessary documentation and support to ensure a smooth and accurate audit process
Tax Compliance:

Oversee tax planning and reporting to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred

5+ years of accounting experience as an Accounting Manager, auditor, and/or similar role

Thorough knowledge of US GAAP

Demonstrated understanding of tax laws and tax planning strategies

Proficient in accounting software and systems; experience with Sage Intacct, LeaseQuery, and Asset Edge a plus

Strong analytical skills, including comfort with financial models and forecasts

Effective communication and interpersonal skills
