About the Company
Coastal Medical Transportation Systems (“Coastal” or “the Company”) is a leading provider of emergency (911) and non-emergency medical transportation across New England. Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Massachusetts, Coastal delivers 24/7 advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) ambulance services, wheelchair and non-emergency medical transport, and event medical coverage to municipalities, hospitals, and healthcare facilities. The founder-led, Trivest-backed business completes thousands of patient transports each month and is one of the largest and fastest-growing EMS providers in the region, scaling both organically and through acquisition.
About the Role
Following its partnership with Trivest Partners, Coastal is scaling rapidly and building out a best-in-class finance and accounting function. The Company is seeking a hands-on Controller to own day-to-day accounting and financial reporting and to serve as the right hand to its incoming Chief Financial Officer. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will deliver timely, accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements; standardize the close and reconciliation processes; strengthen revenue recognition and reserve methodologies specific to EMS billing; and integrate newly acquired companies onto common systems and controls.
This is a build role. The ideal candidate is a roll-up-your-sleeves “doer and coach” who can execute the details personally while developing a growing accounting team. The Controller will be a critical partner in enabling the CFO to deliver on Trivest’s value-creation plan — and is expected to help the finance function operate cleanly and confidently from day one.
